Design Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Lecturers: Prof. Dr. Christoph Seckler, Prof. Dr. René Mauer, Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke (and others)

Design Science (DS) has gained traction within the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation. DS empowers scholars to engage with relevant 'how-to' research questions by drawing on the best scientific knowledge available. This course adopts an experiential learning approach, aiming to equip participants with state-of-the-art methodological proficiencies. It is ideally suited for PhD students who are interested in conducting DS and publishing DS in top journals and is organized in cooperation with ERCIS (University of Münster) and the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e). 

Be part of our PhD Course from 06. May to 08. May 2024 in Berlin and send your application by email until 14. February 2024 to DSE@escp.eu. It should include the following documents:

  • Your Curriculum Vitae
  • (short) Motivation Letter: We would like to know why you are interested in this course (maximum 350 words)
  • Optional: Your Design Science research proposal or a working paper that you would like to present and get feedback on

As we are looking to build this course around you as a community, we would like to know which topics you would like to see covered to make it a worthwhile program. For this, please feel free to send us your topics until January 14th so that we can tailor the upcoming course to your expectations (bullet points will suffice).

Please note that the participation fee is 750 Euro. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate. The course has a study load of 6 ECTS. The maximum number of participants is 20.
